Computer Science A.S. or A.A.

Computer Science (CS) evolved from the disciplines of mathematics and electrical engineering. It refers to the study of the computer itself and its use as a tool in other disciplines. A baccalaureate degree in CS will include higher level mathematics which will help in technical applications such as computer networking, computer graphics, database design and development, software engineering, artificial intelligence and simulation and modeling.

Some universities have specific programs of study while other accept Columbia State's more general paradigm.  See the degree check sheet to determine which plan of study is best for you.  Also, speak with your academic advisor frequently to evaluate your progress and determine if any changes are being predicted.
